The South Wasco County High Redsides (1-0 Big Sky, 9-0 overall) continue to show that they’re definitely one of the top Class 1A boys basketball teams as they remained unbeaten with a 70-29 win over the visiting North Lake/Paisley High Cowboys (4-3) Dec. 28 in Maupin.

The Dalles High Riverhawks boys basketball team is hoping to turn things around in the new year as its resumes its Class 5A non-league schedule this week.

The Class 1A No. 1 ranked Trout Lake High Mustangs (1-0 Big Sky, 4-0 overall) girls basketball team resumes its schedule for the first time in more than three weeks versus the Horizon Christian High Hawks (0-2 Big Sky, 1-6 overall).

The Dalles High Riverhawks girls basketball team is hoping to snap a five-game losing streak and start the new year with a win in a 6:30 p.m. home game Wednesday versus the Hillsboro Spartans (3-2) at Kurtz Gym.
