The Dalles contemporary romance author AJ Harmon has released “First Class Farewell,” the last installment of the First Class Novels Series.
“First Class Farewell” is the ninth and last book of the series and was published on Amazon Kindle on the one-year anniversary date of the first book of the series.
When asked if that was the plan, Harmon’s answer was an emphatic, “No! Not at first. But during the summer when I was finishing off ‘Stamp,’ the eighth novel, I realized if I worked hard I could get ‘Farewell’ written in time to make it a really special occasion for me. I am proud of all my books, but there is a soft spot in my heart for ‘Farewell.’
“So many books end with the promise of a happily ever after, but as the reader, we never get to see what that is. I wanted to take Farewell to the next level and let the fans see exactly what happened six or seven years down the road.”
On its first day available on Amazon, “First Class Farewell” shot into the Top 100 Bestsellers for Family Sagas, a category Harmon has wanted to dominate.
Within hours of the last book in the series becoming available, the reviews began coming in.
“It is so humbling to read that the fans are enjoying the book,” Harmon stated. “And to know that they don’t want the series to end is truly a compliment I cherish.”
A new series is in the works for Harmon with the first installment available in 2014.
