Medications can heal, but unused or expired medications are dangerous to people and the environment.
Oct. 26 is National Drug Take-Back Day. Skyline Hospital, in conjunction with the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department, will accept unused or expired medications Saturday, Oct. 26, (only) at Skyline Hospital’s Health Fair from 7 to 11 a.m. It is an opportunity to clear out the medicine cabinet.
All medications will be accepted and no questions asked. Containers for syringes or needles will also be provided. When disposing of needles or syringes, you will be asked to place them into a designated container which will be provided by the police department at the Health Fair.
Syringes and needles are also accepted at all Klickitat County transfer stations in conjunction with Republic Services. The containers are available free of charge also at the Klickitat County transfer stations.
The drug take-back day is organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration in connection with the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department and Skyline Hospital.
