Richard O’Brien’s infamous horror-sci fi musical “The Rocky Horror Show” is coming to the Gorge, and audiences are invited to come and “do the Time Warp” in style. The live, concert version of the musical (not the film), is the first production by CGOA Stages, the newest addition to the Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association’s roster of ensembles.

“The Rocky Horror Show” was written in the early 1970s as a satiric homage to science fiction films from the 1950s and ‘60s. The film version of the stage show, starring Tim Curry, Meatloaf, and Susan Sarandon, has become a timeless cult classic in which audience members attend in costume, bring props, and respond to the action with their own dialogue. Many of the traditions associated with the film now carry over to audiences for the stage show.
