An audition will be held for the Missoula children’s theatre (MCT) production of Beauty Lou and the Country Beast Monday, June 17th at The Dalles Wahtonka High School from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Those auditioning should arrive at 9:30 am and plan to stay for the full two hours. Most of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are Beauty Lou, Imaginary Friend, Beast, Dusty and Slim the farmhands, Fleabite Clyde the dog, the Younger Daughters, the Older Daughters, the Country Folk and the Barnyard Critters. Students, grades 1st through 12th are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm each day.
Beauty Lou and the Country Beast will be presented on Saturday, June 22nd at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm at The Dalles Wahtonka High School. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in The Dalles is presented locally by The Theatre Company of The Dalles.
