It seems like yesterday I was celebrating birthday number 40, but to me time feels like it’s speeding by at a faster rate. I mean, it seemed like I just blinked my eyes and the last season of Downton Abbey was already wrapping up. What was that, anyway, a total of six weeks?

I wouldn’t call this a “mid-life crisis” activity, but I recently took the time to scan all of my old photos (they came from material called “film negatives”) into my computer. For the most part, I did a pretty good job of labeling photos by year and event. But some stuff was unlabeled — a mystery as to when they were taken. I’m sure when I start distributing them to the friends and family they’ll remind me of the exact dates, and then the memories will become clearer.
