History Mystery for Oct. 1, 2025

Last week’s history mystery was identified by Bruce Johnson as an aerial view of Highway 35, following the Hood River south past the city of Hood River into orchards and toward Mt. Hood. It was reprinted here courtesy of the History Museum of Hood River County.

Museum notes a smudged number on the print which clearly reads “68,” suggesting this photo was taken in 1968.  The marina is not built yet, but the boat basin is visible. Mt. Hood is covered in snow, but the river’s running heavy with mud already.
