Jaybirds in Bingen March 16

Art in Kuwait lecture March 19

This March Columbia Center for the Arts showcases the work of Yvonne Pepin-Wakefield. The exhibit represents four series of paintings she created during her 2004-2010 tenure as a professor, teaching art to Muslim women in Kuwait. On March 19, at 7 pm, Wakefield will give a public lecture and slide show at the Columbia Center for the Arts. In the 45-minute program she will present a side of the Middle East not represented in popular media. She will also read from her book, “Suitcase Filled With Nails: Lessons Learned from Teaching Art in Kuwait.”

Pint Shack reopens March 15
