Columbia Center for the Arts presents the Columbia River Gorge Songwriter Summit, a night of tunes, tales and lies with Lincoln Crockett, Matt Mesa and Dan Weber. Join in for three of the finest songwriters the Gorge has to offer in an intimate, listening atmosphere. Friday, Jan. 31: Albatross w/ Eliza Rickman 9:30 p.m. – Indie folk rock, feat. Ryan Sollee (of The Builders & The Butchers) and Cristina Cano (of Sallie Ford).
Ryan Sollee was asked to write the score for a musical play about a lonely dinosaur evolving into a beautiful Albatross. Recruiting his friends for that project led to his current project — featuring drums, viola and piano.
Saturday, Feb. 1: The Lonesomes w/ Riviera 9:30 p.m. – Mossy Northwest Americana
The Lonesomes are an “amazing new effort that contains shining elements of The Byrds, Tom Petty, Neil Young and the Allman Brothers. Tom Grant at Skamania Lodge

‘Autumn Electric’ at Trillium
Seattle prog-folk band Autumn Electric has just released a new album “Flowers for Ambrosia,” and the band’s 30-city tour will feature stops in New Orleans and the SXSW Festival. But you can catch them at Trillium Cafe in Hood River on Friday, Feb. 7.
The album features songs about Magnum PI, The Hermit of North Pond, and a 22 minute epic, based on “The Never Ending Story,” and has gained rave reviews from music fans from as far away as Serbia. Trillium Cafe, 207 Oak St., Hood River, 541-308-0800.
MMB Trio at Volcanic Jan. 31

Father Daughter Dance Feb. 22
The Father-Daughter benefit dance will be held at The Hood River Elks Club on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 6-8 p.m. tickets are $30 per couple and $10 each additional daughter. Based out of Portland, and led by Byron Mercurius of Guyana, South America, Rhythm Culture features guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and trumpet. Combining their individual influences of the Caribbean and the Americas, and using a roots reggae foundation, the band infuses blues and jazz into their brand of reggae music.
Feb. 22 Joe Stoddard
Joe Stoddard performs a unique blend of High Energy Music and Comedy. Joe has worked with people like The Beach Boys, Keith Urban, Clint Black and many others. You can expect a very large variety of music, Oldies, Country, Rock n’ Roll, Comedy Tunes, Folk, R&B Originals, and more.
Twilite Twins at White Buffalo

Dancing at Hood River Elks Feb. 6
The Hood River Elks Club welcomes on Thursday, Feb. 6, the Simcoe Boys Band playing country-western and swing music dancing. Dancing will begin at 7 p.m. and admission is $8.
