A four-day revival is coming to Emmanuel Baptist Church Nov. 1-4.
Dr. Randy Adams, executive director of the Northwest Baptist Convention, is the guest speaker for the event at the church, 2819 West 10th Street.
The public is invited to join the revival, which begins Sunday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m., and continues each evening at 7 p.m. through Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Sunday morning’s service will be followed by a hearty potluck dinner. A super spud supper will be offered Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m., one hour prior to the nightly service.
Baked potatoes, many toppings and homemade cookies will fill the menu.
Each service will feature uplifting congregational singing and special music numbers.
A nursery for little ones will be provided during each service.
The topic of the revival is “Who is Jesus?”
Nate Warren, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist, said of the revival, “To start off, we need a good definition for revival.
“Revival means a reviving or being revived, bringing or coming back into use, attention, or being. A restoration to vigor or activity. A stirring up of faith.
“For Emmanuel Baptist Church's revival services, we're praying for God to work and setting aside space and time for him to work.
“That is key in a culture of busyness and being stressed out.
“We are just praying for God to work in our lives and in the lives of those in our circles of influence.”
Adams lives in Idaho and grew up in Montana.
His ministry includes leading the missions and evangelism team for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma from 2004-2013.

His preaching ministry has been extensive, including preaching at International Mission Board conferences in Singapore, India, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Malawi and Hong Kong.
He has a BP in petroleum engineering from Montana Tech and a masters of divinity and Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
He has written numerous articles on leadership, evangelism and preaching, and also wrote a workbook for new believers, titled, “Following Jesus From the Beginning.”
