Dierker family shares South American adventure May 7

The Dierker family spent six months exploring Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, volunteering at farms, teaching at schools, and seeing sights from Machu Picchu to the Galapagos Islands. They will share photos and tales — including the resources they used to make it happen — at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 7 at Springhouse Cellars. The event is free and open to all.

“This 6-month trip with our family was the most amazing adventure. It was a dream for so long and now it is a collection of wonderful memories,” said Todd Dierker in an email. “Traveling with kids was not nearly as hard as we thought it might be and was well worth the effort … If you are wondering if you can or should travel with your kids, we say go for it! It will be an experience you will never forget and it will enrich your family in ways you can’t predict.”
