AJ Zelada talks about the making of the Historic Columbia River Highway Mural located in The Dalles during speeches and a celebration to commemorate a hundred years of pavement on the Historic Columbia River Highway presented by The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway and held at St. Peter's Landmark. “The Dalles Floozies” were among those greeting guests and Karl Vercouteren emceed the event.

Peg Willis, retired teacher and author of several historical books including "Building The Columbia River Highway: They Said It Couldn’t Be Done." Willis also conducts education bus tours from Troutdale to The Dalles on the history of the Columbia River Highway.
