Columbia Center for the Arts asks artist to look to familiar weather for inspiration for the October 2015 “RAIN: an Exhibition,” celebrating the Pacific Northwest’s iconic phenomenon.
This exhibition is aligned with the crisp transition into autumn (October 2015), according to curator Leah Hedberg, allowing time for artists to collaborate and create new works.
Artists who reside in Oregon and Washington may apply. Work for this show must be new or not previously shown in the Gorge. It is open to all media. Entry deadline: Nov. 30, 2014. There is a $25 nonrefundable application fee. Works created for the show will be for sale at Columbia Art Gallery. Columbia Center for the Arts retains a 40 percent commission on sales.
