Community members gather at the Parkdale Memorial Garden, for ice cream provided by the Parkdale Garden Club and Central Gorge Master Gardeners.

PARKDALE — Members of the Parkdale Garden Club will hold an ice cream social at the Parkdale Memorial Garden, located at the intersection of Baseline Road and Dee Highway, on Sunday, Aug. 17 from 1-4 p.m.

Members of the community are invited to come and become acquainted with this Upper Hood River Valley treasure. The Parkdale Memorial Garden is a recipient of the 2022 Garden of Distinction Award from the Oregon State Federation of Garden Clubs and also received a Blue Star Memorial Bi-Way Marker in 2021. This marker is a tribute to the Armed Forces of America.
