HOOD RIVER — Hood River County Sheriff’s office has new deputies on staff.
Deputy David DeHart is a lateral transfer from Portland Police Bureau, but a local Hood River resident. Deputy Melanie Salisbury had been a Reserve Deputy with our office, and has now come on full time.
Deputy Corbett Blackman is a Hood River native as well, having become interested in law enforcement after participating in the Public Safety and First Responders class put on by the sheriff office’s school resource deputy at Hood River Valley High School.
Deputy Pedro Virgen was a Reserve Officer with the Hood River Police Department, and comes to us most recently as a lateral from the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.
