HOOD RIVER — Gorge Chapter Ducks Unlimited will host its 37th annual fundraising banquet on Feb. 17 at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn. To RSVP, visit ducks.org (click on the Events tab). Registration will close Feb. 11. Doors open at 5 p.m., and no tickets will be sold the day of the event.
There will be food, games, raffles and silent and live auctions.
This annual event raises money for wetlands conservation and restoration, and is a fun community gathering, said Daina Bambe, Gorge Chapter Ducks Unlimited committee member.
“We appreciate the numerous local businesses that have donated to make this event truly special,” she said.
Ducks Unlimited was founded in 1937 and is the oldest conservation organization in the United States. Since its inception, Ducks Unlimited has conserved over 16 million acres of wetlands and adjoining uplands, benefiting more than 900 species of wildlife.
