THE DALLES — Wasco County Democrats are hosting a candidate forum for the four declared Democratic candidates for Oregon House District 52 on Sunday, Feb. 1 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Mid-Columbia Senior Center, 1112 W. Ninth, The Dalles.
Attendance is free and light refreshments will be available.
“This is an open seat and is one of the strongest opportunities for Democrats to flip a seat in the Oregon House,” said Dean Myerson, one of the event organizers with Wasco Democrats. “It is the best opportunity in decades to get Democratic representation in the state legislature for The Dalles. Democratic voters need to choose the best candidate in the primary, so we are pleased to give them this opportunity to see and hear the candidates in action.”
House district 52 runs along the Columbia River from eastern Gresham through The Dalles. The current Republican incumbent is not seeking reelection, so it is an open seat. The four Democratic candidates in the May primary (so far) are Nick Waldon Poublon, David Osborn, Hank Sanders, and Bernard Seeger.
