Closed Playgrounds

City of Hood River Public Works employees install revised signs Friday at Waterfront Park and Children’s Park, the two city-owned playground facilities that remain off-limits during the pandemic, as they have been since April. In late September the City Council affirmed the continued closures of these two playgrounds. The city is following directives from Hood River County Health Department and Oregon Health Authority, in the interest of reducing the chance of coronavirus spread by limiting access to city recreation areas that are high-use and where prescribed social-distancing is not possible.Â
