THE GORGE — The CASA Fall Family Run is back for a second year, Columbia Gorge CASA has announced.
This festive, family-friendly event will be held on Friday, Oct. 4 at the Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead in Hood River. The event serves as a meaningful opportunity for the community to come together in support of CASA’s mission to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

New this year: A costume contest invites participants to show off their most creative, family-friendly attire. Costumes don't need to be fall-themed, but embracing the autumn spirit is encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for Best Adult Costume, Best Child Costume, and Best Dog Costume, adding a fun twist to the day.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for a complimentary breakfast provided by McDonald’s of the Gorge. A high-energy warm-up, led by Jill Catherine of the Gorge Leadership Institute, kicks off at 8:50 a.m. Hydration stations, sponsored by Studio Fit, will be located at the starting line and along the course to keep participants refreshed.
“We’re excited to bring this event back and create a space where the community can come together, have fun, and show their support for child advocacy,” said Christopher Janetzko, Executive Director of Columbia Gorge CASA. “Every child who has experienced abuse or neglect deserves an advocate, and this event helps raise awareness about how community members can step into that role.”
Columbia Gorge CASA extends deep gratitude to all sponsors who make this event possible. Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, McDonald's of the Gorge. Other sponsors include A Kidz Dental Zone, One Community Health, Umpqua Bank, NW Natural, Columbia Gorge Pain Management, Mid-Columbia Christian School, Cascade Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Center, and the Hood River Hotel.
