Details for Skyline Hospital Data Event Notice
Updated
Skyline Hospital Provides Notice of Data Event We're writing to let you know about a data security event that may have affected some of our current and former patients. Below, we explain what happened, what we're doing about it, and how we can help you protect your personal information. What Happened? On or around July 17, 2026, we learned of suspicious activity on our network. We brought in outside cybersecurity specialists right away to help us investigate. That investigation found that someone accessed certain files on our network between July 16 and July 17, 2026. We're still working with specialists to determine exactly what information was affected and whose it involves, and that review is ongoing. What Information Was Involved? The information involved is different for each person but could include your name along with the following: medical diagnosis information, your address, and financial information. What We Are Doing. We care deeply about protecting your privacy and the security of your information. As soon as we found the issue, we acted quickly to secure our network and get to the bottom of what happened. We're also reviewing and strengthening our safeguards to help prevent this from happening again. We are doing this work in conjunction with national experts in cybersecurity. As we gather more detailed information regarding who was impacted, we will contact those individuals directly. What Affected Individuals Can Do. As a precaution, we encourage you to keep an eye on your account statements, credit reports, and insurance explanations of benefits for anything unfamiliar. If you notice anything suspicious, please report it right away to your health care provider, insurance company, or bank. You'll find more ways to protect your information below on our website at https://myskylinehealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Skyline-Hospital-Website-Notice.pdf For More Information: If you have questions or need help, please call us at (509)637-2972.
