Homeowner Juan Villa Batista uses a pickaxe to break up muddy roots from a large tree that fell over in his front yard in Odell on Dec. 19. Batista said strong winds brought the tree down around 2 a.m., and he was very thankful it didn’t hit his house or hurt anyone.
