One hundred and eighty six people committed to losing weight in 2011 through the Skyline Hospital's Bigger Winner Weight Loss Competition.
And yes, you may still sign up, although the end date -- April 15 -- is still the same.
Because of the overwhelming turn-out for the first year of the competition, sponsors (Skyline Hospital, ICE, Mid Columbia Family Health Center and The Enterprise) will be able to give winners up to a total of $3720 in prize money.
Cash prizes of $100 will be given to the person or the team who loses the biggest percentage of weight at each weigh in. The weigh in prizes will not be cumulative, but again, awarded to the person and the team who loses the biggest percentage of weight from one weigh-in to the next.
In order to qualify for the weigh in awards, you will need to weigh in on the designated weigh in dates beginning Jan 27 or 28.
Additional second and third place (overall) awards have been added. With the first place team winning at least $600, and second and third place teams (and individuals) winning at least $350 and $250 respectively.
Overall awards will be presented to those individuals or teams which lose the biggest percentage of body weight throughout the event with the final weigh in date being April 14 or 15.
There has been a clarification to one of the rules. Contestants are signed up as either an individual OR a team. You will be able to receive an award in only one of the categories, not both. You will be asked to confirm your status as an individual or team competitor at the next weigh-in on Jan 27 or 28.

You can't win if you don't weigh in, so increase your odds of winning by checking in at every weigh in opportunity.
