Tammi Greiner's 8-ball break gave White Salmon's Elkhorn Bar & Grill team the Women's Crazy 8 Pool League championship by one point over Huntington's of Klickitat.
It was Greiner's second 8-ball break of the season, which started Nov. 12 and culminated with the Elkhorn's 5-4 victory over Windy River of The Dalles in a March 4 makeup match.
According to team captain Carolyn Duffy, the Elkhorn went into that match needing five points to overtake Huntington's for first place in the final league standings.
The Elkhorn got the big break it needed when Greiner sank the 8 ball on the break in the ninth game of the best-of-nine match.
Huntington's, which completed its season a week earlier, still finished second in the seven-team league and the Lyle Taproom placed third.
The final event of the season is the league's double-elimination partners tournament on March 16 at The Elkhorn.
