The "Gorge Winter Gala" will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m., at the Best Western Hood River Inn.
The event, which is in its third year, is co-hosted by Soroptimist International clubs of Mt. Adams and Hood River and the Rotary Club of White Salmon/Bingen. Proceeds from the event will benefit United Way of the Columbia Gorge.
Business owners from the Hood River and Bingen/White Salmon communities are joining with the co-hosts by donating a wide array of auction items.
The Gala is a dessert buffet, dance with a live band, silent auction, and a no-host bar. Attire is semi-formal/cocktail. Tickets are $30 per couple or $18 per individual and can be purchased at Butterflies, Flowers and Gifts in downtown White Salmon or Waucoma Bookstore in Hood River.
"We are very excited to be teaming with the Hood River club and Rotary to host a fun winter event. United Way of the Columbia Gorge serves several and varied community organizations in the Gorge, on both sides of the river," said Kathleen O'Connor-McNew, an event coordinator and member of Soroptimist of Mt. Adams. "We hope people will join us for a good time supporting a worthy cause."
