A Camas woman suffered bruises from her seatbelt when she was involved in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday at approximately 5:10 p.m.

According to the report, Alisha M. Nordwell, 24, Camas, was westbound on State Route 14 near milepost 85.6 when her vehicle, a 1998 Dodge Ram, left the roadway to the north. The driver overcorrected and crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane. The driver overcorrected again and the vehicle left the roadway again to the north, striking a rock wall.

The vehicle came to rest blocking the west bound lane. The lane was blocked for approximately two hours.

The driver was cited for negligent driving.

Two individuals were transported to Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale following an accident on US 97, 17 miles north of Goldendale.

According to the report, a 1979 Oldsmobile driven by Raul Sanchez-Escalera, 35, Monitor, was south bound on SR 97 in a curve to the left. The vehicle lost traction, the vehicle rotated in a counter clockwise motion, into the north bound lane. The vehicle then struck the passenger side of a 1998 Buick driven by Susan K. Parker, 48, Grandview. The Oldsmobile then caught on fire after impact.

Sanchez-Escalera suffered a contusion to his head and a cervical strain. Parker had a possible left wrist fracture and bumps and bruises.

Sanchez-Escalera was cited for negligent driving.
