Conflict-resolution specialist Charles Brown will conduct a seminar, "Responding to Conflict Biblically" (RCB), beginning Sat., Feb. 7, 11 a.m., at the White Salmon Seventh-day Adventist Church.
A vegetarian lunch will be served to participants at 1 p.m. at the nearby Fellowship Building on N.E. Tohomish St., followed by another RCB session from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church.
Open to the public, this free seminar will use a 32-page study guide, video clips, and computer graphics to teach conflict management in many phases of life: marriage and family, work, community, and church.
While the classes are fast-paced, they involve a lot of material, requiring a second session two weeks later on Sat., Feb. 21, repeating the same schedule as above.
Brown has served many years as a pastor for Adventist Oregon and Washington Conferences, also 13 years as Ministerial Director in British Columbia. While at the North Pacific Union Conference, Brown started a special department, Reconciliation Services. He now teaches "Conflict Resolution" in churches throughout North America.
