Rev. David James Garrison, a Vancouver resident, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004. He was 63.
Rev. Garrison was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Lima, Ohio, to Ruby (Dennis) and Donald Garrison. He was raised in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to Eugene, Ore. after high school to attend Eugene Bible College. He graduated from there in 1964, majoring in Pastoral Ministries. After graduation, he traveled throughout the United States, Caribbean and South America with the Revivalaires Trio.
He and Carolyn Hart were married during this time and they spent the first six months traveling with the trio. In 1965, they moved to Roseburg, Ore., where Rev. Garrison served as youth minister. During the next few years, they lived in many places as he served as pastor and director of Christian Education in Grand Island, Neb., Tujunga, Calif., and Waimanalo, Hawaii. He served as pastor for the Bingen Assembly of God for 22 years and in Lewiston, Idaho for three years, before his health forced him to retire. Pastor Garrison moved to Vancouver two months ago to be nearer his family.
His church and church activities were his life but since moving to Idaho, he learned a new appreciation for camping, fishing and outdoors. But most importantly, he loved his family.
Rev. Garrison is survived by his wife, Carolyn, Vancouver; sons David C. Garrison, Tampa, Fla., and Daniel L. Garrison, Camas; daughter DaLynn R. Harrsch, Vancouver; sister Gertrude Young, Sacramento, Calif.; as well as eight grandchildren. The Garrisons were also parents to two foster children.
Memorial services for Rev. Garrison will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at 7 p.m. at the Walnut Grove Church, 6004 NE 72nd Ave., Vancouver. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at the White Salmon Cemetery.

LAWRENCE WEDRICK
Lawrence M. Wedrick died Dec. 5, 2004, at the age of 86. He was born April 21, 1918.
Mr. Wedrick is survived by his wife Becky; daughters Teresa and Carol; sons Joel and Ronald; brothers Arnold and Rick; sister Charlotte; and six grandchildren.
