According to a long-range weather forecasting company, the state of Washington can expect much more snowfall this year than it received last year.

Tom Dunklee, chief atmospheric scientist for Global Climate Weather Services in North Bend, predicts that the snowfall in the Washington Cascades will be 140 percent of normal from early November through Jan. 15 of next year.
