Learn the wonders of basketry during Maryhill's First Sunday event

The program is open to all ages and children up to 16 are free with one paid adult.

"Bring your entire family for an afternoon of fun activity and exploration," said Courtney Spousta, curator of education. "Try your hand at creating a cattail-doll inspired by Native American basketry techniques. Discover the Museum's extensive basket collection during a special art-scavenger hunt activity. It'll be a great day for families to visit Maryhill."

Artist Harvest Moon is a Quinault tribal storyteller and basket weaver who gives lectures, demonstrations and workshops throughout the northwest.

Her work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibits.

All supplies will be provided free.
