The White Salmon Valley Community Library's "American Heritage Music Series" will be presenting "Homespun Music," in the library's Sprint/Baker Gallery on Friday, June 26, at 7 p.m.
The evening concert, produced and narrated by Andre Lamoreaux, will feature the Klickitat County Old Time Fiddlers, and guests.
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
Lamoreaux has once again gathered together a wide variety of Gorge area musicians who will guide you on a musical journey into the past. Numbers will include old time favorites, nostalgia music, a tango, and much more.
In addition to the marvelous music by the Old Time Fiddlers (District #14 of the Washington OTFA), highlights will include yodeling by the one and only Thelma Howard, Dobro, piano, accordion, washboard, ukulele, and banjo.
One particularly unique instrument will be Diane Gadway's custom-made (and self-named) "Caution Shoots Balls of Fire," which features a wide range of percussion effects.
