Highway brush fire in Hood River knocked down

Fire crews made quick work of a brush fire on I-84 near exit 62 in Hood River Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 1:20 p.m. and blew east along the highway's shoulder. It scorched the grassy area and the bases of several pine trees. In total, less than an acre burned.
