Wind River's Royals defeated the Grizzlies 36-12 in their Nov. 8 season opener at Carson.
"They were a very tall team," Grizzlies Coach Mike Yarnell said of Wind River, "and we just couldn't match up."
Henkle trailed 10-2 after the first period, 22-8 at the half and 29-10 through three quarters.
Kelly McNallan and Alicia Rohwer scored four points each to pace Henkle, which converted 4-of-12 free throws.
Lani Simmons added two points, and Becky Clary and Aurora Hindahl contributed one apiece.
Amy Courtney and Rohwer earned kudos from their coach for their efforts on defense.
The Grizzlies' luck didn't change on Nov. 13, though they were playing at home against a different opponent.
Canyon Creek outscored Henkle 16-4 in the fourth quarter to win going away, 46-17.
The middle periods were pivotal to the outcome as the visitors outscored the Grizzlies 22-11 to assume a commanding 30-13 lead after three quarters.
"We're a very inexperienced team but we played with a lot of heart, and we plan to step it up every week," Coach Yarnell reflected.
Henkle scoring honors went to Becky Clary and Alicia Rohwer with four points each.
Lani Simmons and Ashley Neff supplied three points apiece, and Yurema Ramirez added two.
Yarnell praised Amy Courtney and Jennifer Plummer for their rebounding work.
