If you're concerned about what's going on with the Hanford Nuclear Site, plan on attending a public "Hanford State of the Site" meeting in Hood River. On hand will be the top decision-makers responsible from the Hanford Site, as well as representatives of the state and federal environmental agencies involved.

"This is your chance to let them know what you think about Hanford cleanup and dumping more waste. It only takes a few to make a difference, so bring a friend and speak out on behalf of the future of the Northwest," said Greg deBruler, a spokesperson for Columbia Riverkeeper, a Gorge-based organization engaged in maintaining the health of the river.
