“Annie” will be performed by students in grades 2-5, as part of the Community Ed Musical Theater program. Performances are May 25, 26 and 27 at the Hood River Middle School auditorium. All performances begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and include admission to “Godspell,” which will be performed at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets are available at the door.
Students to perform ‘Godspell’
Students of the Hood River Community Education Musical Theater program will perform “Godspell” at the Middle School auditorium. The colorful 1970s musical, featuring songs such as “Day By Day,” is the culmination of a yearlong class the students have been taking from instructor Rebekah Meyer. This is an all-youth cast, featuring 22 children, grades 5-11, in singing, dancing, and acting roles. There will be four performances May 25, 26, and 27 at 7 p.m. and a 3 p.m. matinee on Friday, May 27. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased at the door.
HR Billiards music jam continues
The Hood River Billiards music jam has been in full swing. Local musicians meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. to play country, bluegrass and acoustic music. Wine Sellers tasting May 27
On Friday, May 27, Erin Schectel will be offering tastes of wines of Erin Glenn Vineyards at The Wine Sellers, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. He will be presenting Syrah, Cabernet, Viognier, Gewurtztraminer, Late Harvest Gewurtz and a sneak peak at the soon-to-be-released Tantrum. The Wine Sellers is located at 514 State St., Hood River.
