Eight-grade hoopsters come half way to scoring season's first win

Each team scored eight points in the first quarter and 11 in the second to account for its 19 points.

But it was all Woodland in the third quarter as the visitors shut out the Grizzlies 16-0 to take control of the game, 35-19, on their way to a 43-21 final score.

Becky Clary and Alicia Rowher scored six points each for Henkle, which held Woodland's top scorer to eight points. Ashley Neff tallied five points and Kelly McNallan and Jennifer Plummer netted two points apiece.

On Dec. 4, Henkle lost at Jemtegaard (Washougal), 38-14. That defeat followed a 45-13 loss at home on Nov. 29 to Hockinson.
