Here is your chance to learn from the experts and to share what you learn with students in your own community.
Central Cascades Alliance is repeating its popular SECRETS volunteer training series beginning Monday, Sept. 17.
Throughout the nine-week course, participants will learn about local forest and shrub-steppe ecosystems from botanists, geologists, fisheries scientists and other local experts.
The CCA teaaching team will explain how the weekly concepts are taught to elementary-age students and give new volunteer teachers a chance to participate what they've learned.
The program is now taught in 26 Gorge classrooms each year.
Classes will be held at the Coe Primary School, Hood River.
There will be a a $10 fee.
