Cut wood with class of '09

The class of 2009 is hosting a wood cutting Oct. 4 and 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are maps posted around Glenwood at the stores and post office.

The Glenwood Fire Department is having an open house and barbecue on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dale and Dorothy Wise left Sept. 22. There was a potluck after church so everyone could say their goodbyes. The community wishes Pastor Dale and Dorothy well.

There will be a pioneer meeting on Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Glenwood Community Church. Come listen to Buck Smith sing and play his guitar and tell stories of his growing up years in Glenwood. Bring your favorite dish for the pot luck. It starts at 1 p.m.

Candidates' night is Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at the grange hall. It's sponsored by the grange and the women's club.

Tami Groves is having a baby shower on Sept. 27 at 1:30.

Joshua Ian Smith and Zoey Elizabeth Lemaich will be married on Sunday, Oct. 12, in Walla Walla at the home of their friends Kendal and Anne Robinson. The couple met while attending Whitman College. They plan to make their home in Walla Walla. Joshua is the son of Dale and Jensi Smith, Glenwood. Zoey is the daughter of Jim and Fran Lemaich of Gresham, Ore.
