The children of Walt and Jan Uhrich invite friends and family to a reception celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in White Salmon.

Walt was born and raised in Oakley, Kan. He came out to Pendleton, Ore., to work in a pea cannery the summer of 1957 where he met and fell in love with his bride to be Janice Frey.
