Columbia High withstood a late challenge by Dufur, Ore., here Tuesday night to record a 63-44 non-league girls basketball win.
Junior guard Adrianne DeLay led the Bruins with 21 points, which she got with a CHS girls single-game record seven 3-point baskets.
Sophomore guard Laurel Huth added a line of 12 points, four assists and three steals, and senior center Lacey Kruse had a game-high 14 rebounds to go with seven points.
Columbia (2-0) led 18-13 at the end of one quarter, 33-22 at halftime and 45-29 after three quarters.
In the fourth, though, the Rangers took advantage of some CHS turnovers to create a small 6-2 run that pulled them within 10 points at 50-40 with 3:31 remaining.
But it was almost all Columbia the rest of the way as the Bruins outscored the Rangers 13-4 over the final 3:20.
Freshman Taryn Struck ignited the late CHS charge with a 3-point play and a putback that began a 9-0 run that culminated in DeLay’s final 3-pointer of the game.
