Bethel declares 'Just Peace' church

"We take seriously God's call "to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8). Therefore, we covenant with God and each other to be a Just Peace Church," stated the church's declaration.

Being a Just Peace church requires:

Open and affirming, welcoming and accepting all people regardless of age, gender, handicap, sexual orientation, marital status, race or national origin or any particular elements of a person's total humanity.

Committed to being a voice for justice and peace on behalf of the undervalued and disenfranchised members of our community, particularly people of color, the elderly and the physically, mentally and economically challenged.

Engaged through education, study, advocacy and outreach in seeking peace, justice and ecological stewardship in our community, nation and world.
