The White Salmon Arts Council will sponsor "I'm Dreaming of a White Salmon: Christmas in the Gorge," on Saturday, Dec. 3, from noon to 7 p.m.
The event will take place in the businesses of downtown White Salmon, and will include stores decorated in vintage Christmas theme, musicians, and artists throughout town.
The following businesses will be hosting artists: Artisan's -- Jim Gleason, Rene Tkach, and Mark Hoppmann; Collage of the Gorge -- Marsha Holliston, "Idle Fancy," and Bruce Howard, "Alba Designs," with piano duets from Joyce Fitzsimmons and Marilyn Russell; Top of the Elkhorn Restaurant -- paintings by Dawn Ramsey; White Salmon Glassworks -- Michele Hoffman, jewelry; Trellis -- Julie Ueland, "Feels Like Home Collection," Toni Cordas, Harmony Alway, and Jeffrey from Greenmart Toffee.
Vintage photos with Santa will be taken at Blue Ackerman Photography from noon to 4 p.m.
White Salmon Glassworks will be offering the chance to blow your own glass ornament. The Creamery will be selling salmon chowder. Homemade cookies and candy will be for sale at the Top of the Elkhorn Restaurant, and Nanny's Bakery will be downtown selling gingerbread.
Jim Von Mosch will be doing blacksmithing on the corner in front of JobSource, while local spinners and knitters will be on the porch of the Inn of the White Salmon.
The Experience Arts studio will offer a performance of Beauty and the Beast at noon, followed by dancing at 1 p.m.
There will be musical performers outside of White Salmon Boat Works throughout the afternoon. The White Salmon Brass Choir will start things off at 2 p.m., followed by an hour and a half of marimba music by Jamba. At 4 p.m., the Trout Lake Community Choir will take the stage. Local Girl Scouts will sing at 4:30, followed by Santa Claus parading through town, and culminating with a tree-lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.
