The Friends of the White Salmon Valley Community Library and the library's Young Adult Advisory Board (YAAB) are seeking donations for their Annual Used Book and Multi-Media Sale.
Donations may be brought to the library, #5 Town & Country Square (next to Thriftway) during regular library hours.
When you are donating to the sale, please remember that not all books are of use to the Friends. Any donated materials should be in "new" or "like-new" condition. No magazines, Readers' Digest condensed books, incomplete sets (e.g. encyclopedias) or outdated textbooks, or other materials on topics for which current information is generally sought (e.g. medical, electronic, legal, investment information).
The sale is scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 17, 18 and 19.
Proceeds from all books will go to enhance the local library collections, programs and services in our community. All proceeds from the sale of donated videos, CDs, DVDs and audio cassettes will go toward this year's local Teen Summer Reading Program.
Programs provided by the Friends include the Washington Commission for the Humanities' Inquiring Mind programs, family musical events, performers, authors' events and exhibits by area artists.
Don't miss this local book lovers' event of the year!
