CHS soccer moves step closer to clinching Trico title

The lone goal scored in last week’s 1A Trico League boys soccer showdown be-tween Columbia High and La Center came midway through the first half.

CHS’s Yvan Escoto scored off an assist from Ivan Robles in the 20th minute here last Tuesday, and the Bruins’ defense made it stand up the rest of the way for Columbia’s fourth shutout in eight starts.
