The body of Jennifer Gouvea, 38, of Portland, was found on Nov. 8 around 3 pm at the Swell City windsurfing site east of Stevenson, according to a press release by the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.
Skamania County Sheriff’s Office detectives and officers, along with three members of the Region 4 Major Crimes Scene Investigation Team processed the scene throughout the afternoon and late into the evening on Saturday.
“This incident is currently under investigation,” said Skamania County Undersheriff Dave Cox. “We are awaiting autopsy and toxicology, as well as other evidence collected results to assist in determining the manner of death in this case. At this time this incident has not provided any indication that the citizens of Skamania County have anything to fear.”
