McFadden resigns from Port Commission

Mike Courtney, assistant secretary and treasurer for the commission, also thanked McFadden, both for the many years with the Port of The Dalles and other agencies, like the fire district.

Commissioner David Griffith offered his personal thanks for McFadden’s work, and in an emotional parting, McFadden said: “It’s been a lot of good times, a lot of good people.”

He added that he would miss being involved with the commission, but it was time for him to focus on the needs of his wife and family.

McFadden is a longtime realtor in The Dalles, and is currently with Copper West Properties downtown.

“We are going to miss Bob, he has been a valuable service to the Port and the community of The Dalles” said Executive Director Andrea Klaas. “We have appreciated his input, his commitment to The Port. His will be some tough shoes to follow.”
