THE DALLES — The Dalles High Riverhawks’ Class 4A football team had seven players who were selected by a vote of coaches for Special District 5 all-league awards.
The Riverhawk squad (1-3 SD5, 3-6 overall), guided by Coach Nate Timmons, had three players who received first team selections. The senior trio included defensive lineman/tight end Hunter Bustos, placekicker London Leitz, and receiver Reese Kenslow. Leitz (punter) and Kenslow (defensive back) also earned second team awards.
Seniors Everest Lenardson (offensive lineman) and Josh Brackenbury (linebacker/utility) both earned second team awards. Sophomores Bryson Cates (linebacker/running back) and Lucky Enesi (defensive back) also earned second team awards. Enesi (wide receiver) also was selected for an honorable mention award.
