HOOD RIVER — After a 1-3 start, the Hood River Valley girls lacrosse team won its fifth straight game last week, 19-9, over visiting Lincoln of Portland April 24.
The Eagles (6-3) outscored their past five opponents, 85-29, during the streak. Georgia Deresta scored six goals and assisted on another and teammate Josie Faaborg added five goals and an assist to the Eagle offensive stat line vs. Lincoln.
Hood River beat Camas, WA., 20-10 on April 21. Faaborg scored nine goals, Wren Eaton and Lily Sigl added three goals apiece, and Lyla Mall and Kenley Mall scored two each.
The Hood River Valley boys lacrosse team improved to 8-2 this season, 3-1 in the Columbia Conference, with its 9-5 win April 23 against Ida B Wells. The ninth-ranked Eagles rebounded from their 13-7 loss April 21 to top-ranked Oregon Episcopal School (11-0), which snapped a three-game HRV win streak.
