The Dalles High Riverhawks girls soccer team hasn’t qualified for the OSAA Class 5A state playoffs yet, but are hoping to do at the conclusion of the season Oct. 28. The Hawks’ 4:30 p.m. Intermountain Conference game Thursday versus the Ridgeview Ravens (3-1-2 IMC, 3-5-2 overall) at Ridgeview High in Redmond will feel like the playoffs for both teams.
The shorthanded Dalles High Riverhawks football team faced another strong opponent on the road in Central Oregon in a Class 5A Special District 1 matchup Friday against the No. 13 ranked Ridgeview Ravens.
The Dalles High Riverhawk boys basketball team could very well conclude the regular season with some momentum, which is something they could greatly benefit from as they prepare for the upcoming Intermountain Conference district playoffs June 21-26.
Despite losing four straight games last week, The Dalles High Riverhawks baseball team concluded the Intermountain Conference regular season schedule by finishing in fourth place out of the six-team league.
Intermountain Conference golfers competed in the final league event of the season to determine state and regional qualifiers Monday at Meadow Lakes Golf Course in Prineville. Medalist for the event was Isaac Buerger from Ridgeview with a 75, followed by Brodie Kuizenga from Crook County and Aidan Telles from The Dalles with 79’s.
Isaac Buerger picked up medalist recognition with his 73 and the Ridgeview Ravens won their third straight tournament after shooting a combined 340 for a 24-stroke win today at an Intermountain Conference tournament played at The Dalles Country Club. (Also covers girls golf.)
Last week, the Hood River Valley girls soccer team went into Thursday’s matchup against Ridgeview tied for second place in the Intermountain Conference with The Dalles.
Last week in Hood River, a battle between the top two boys soccer teams in the Intermountain Conference took place as the top seeded Ridgeview Ravens matched up with the second place Hood River Valley Eagles on Oct. 11.
