Free news: The City of The Dalles has partnered with DocuPet to offer residents a modern licensing system designed to protect pets and bring them home safely if they go missing.
BINGEN — Aging looks a little different for every dog. As dogs grow older, their bodies change, their needs shift, and mobility may not look the same as it once did. With human family support, veterinary care, and a focus on quality of life, senior dogs can continue to thrive well into their golden years.
While some dogs prefer to be outdoors regardless of the weather, the cold and often snowy and icy conditions winter brings can pose serious threats to their health.
THE DALLES — After a lengthy discussion with local veterinarians on Oct. 27, The Dalles City Council opted to postpone action on its dog control ordinance. Councilors concluded that public feedback, particularly regarding potential client confidentiality issues, necessitated extended time and revision towards a more thoughtful, accurate authorization.
THE DALLES – On June 8, Dog River Pet Supplies, located in Hood River, closed up shop to volunteer at the Columbia Gorge Humane Society, and put a fresh coat of paint to the shelter’s exterior.
