THE DALLES — Dog licensing in the City of The Dalles is now easier and more valuable for local pet owners. The City of The Dalles has partnered with DocuPet, North America’s leading pet licensing, registration and lost pet recovery service, to offer residents a modern licensing system designed to protect pets and bring them home safely if they go missing.
Through the new program, every official license includes a DocuPet tag and access to the complimentary HomeSafe 24/7 lost pet service. If a pet becomes lost, owners can quickly create a Lost Pet Report, while community members who find a missing pet can use the tag to submit a Found Pet Report. DocuPet’s dispatch team is available around the clock to help reunite pets with their families.
“Licensing is an important responsibility for dog owners, but it should also provide peace of mind,” said Animal Control Officer Baker. “By partnering with DocuPet, we’re making the licensing process simple while ensuring local families have extra protection if their pet ever goes missing.”
DocuPet’s platform will also help the City of The Dalles manage licensing more efficiently, allowing resources to be directed toward essential animal care and community programs. “Pets wearing license tags are reunited with their families much faster than unlicensed pets,” said Grant Goodwin, CEO of DocuPet. “We’re proud to work with the City of The Dalles to bring these benefits to the community.”
All dogs in the City of The Dalles must be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Pet owners can learn more and register online at thedalles.docupet.com.
